Yogyakarta. The Sleman Regency Government through the National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol) held a dialogue on interfaith harmony in 2025 at the Official Residence of the Deputy Regent of Sleman, Friday (26/9). In his remarks, the Deputy Regent of Sleman, Danang Maharsa, emphasized the importance of unity and togetherness in maintaining harmony in the diverse society in Sleman. “The people of Sleman are diverse in terms of ethnicity, culture, and religion. All differences are a blessing that must be preserved. Therefore, unity is crucial for achieving harmony in society,” said Danang.
Danang emphasized that the FKUB is the vanguard and government partner in safeguarding interfaith harmony. He stated that the government cannot perform optimally without the support of the community and partner institutions, including the FKUB. “The FKUB represents communities with diverse backgrounds. Therefore, the FKUB is at the forefront of assisting the government in resolving issues related to interfaith harmony within the community,” he explained.
He hopes that FKUB Sleman will continue to synergize with the local government in creating peace and a sense of security in the community. “We, the Sleman Regency Government, are very open to all forms of input and suggestions to continue providing the best for the community and creating a sense of security and comfort for the people of Sleman,” said Danang.
