Technology. Kemdiktisaintek carried out a site visit to the Science and Technology Park (STP) at IPB University as part of the ongoing monitoring of the PRIME STeP 2025 program.
The visit aimed to verify that development progress aligns with the agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), milestones, and strategic objectives for 2025.
During the assessment, the Project Management Unit (PMU) reviewed several on-site components, including the planned halal building and other infrastructure supporting innovation and incubation activities. The team evaluated construction readiness, documentation, administrative compliance, and alignment with PRIME STeP requirements.
The discussion between Kemdiktisaintek and STP-IPB leadership addressed both progress achieved and areas that require improvement. Several technical aspects — including facility readiness, operational planning, and future utilization for technology commercialization — were highlighted as part of the ongoing refinement process.
Kemdiktisaintek emphasized the importance of ensuring that every project component delivers measurable outcomes. These include infrastructure usability for startups, support for IPB’s innovation ecosystem, and compliance with halal building standards where necessary.
The ministry and STP-IPB agreed to strengthen coordination through continuous reporting, routine monitoring, and timely issue resolution. This collaborative approach is essential to meeting the 2025 PRIME STeP targets and ensuring that the program supports innovation growth at local and national levels.
PRIME STeP 2025 is designed to enhance university-based innovation facilities, accelerate commercialization, and strengthen Indonesia’s research ecosystem. The site visit demonstrates Kemdiktisaintek’s commitment to ensuring that investment in innovation infrastructure translates into real, sustainable impact.
