Yogyakarta. The Pelita Harapan Education Foundation (YPPH) officially launched the Dian Harapan Jogja School (SDH Jogja), a modern Christian school with a capacity of up to 800 students from kindergarten to high school (K–12).
The school, which is strategically located at Lippo Plaza Jogja, Jalan Laksda Adisucipto, is scheduled to start operating in July 2026.
This launch marks an important step in the expansion of YPPH’s Christian education network, which has served Indonesia for more than three decades.
President of Pelita Harapan University (UPH) and YPPH Trustee, Dr. Stephanie Riady, emphasized that the launch of SDH Jogja is part of the foundation’s commitment to providing Christ-centered education and preparing future generations.
“The launch of SDH Jogja is a concrete manifestation of our commitment to providing modern Christian education, rooted in faith, and preparing future generations. Yogyakarta, as a city of education and culture, provides an excellent setting for cultivating students who are not only intelligent, but also wise, have character, and are ready to serve the community,” said Dr. Stephanie Riady.
The National Director of Dian Harapan School, Deny Sinaga, added that SDH Jogja is present not just as a school, but as a living learning community rooted in Christian values.
“We want to foster a warm atmosphere, strong relationships, and relevant teaching rooted in faith. Our hope is that the children who study here will grow into a generation with the knowledge, right hearts, and skills to impact their families, communities, and the nation,” he said.
Dian Harapan Jogja School offers a Christ-centered, systemic education, combining faith values with modern learning that is relevant to the needs of the times.
SDH Jogja emphasizes holistic and transformative learning, equipping students to excel academically while cultivating a heart of service. The curriculum encourages critical, creative, and adaptive thinking skills, while strengthening English language skills through an English immersion approach.
In addition to its academic focus, this school also fosters character and leadership through a personal approach and close teacher-student relationships.
As a school located in Lippo Plaza Jogja, SDH Jogja offers complete and modern facilities, ranging from interactive classrooms, science and computer laboratories, arts and sports facilities, to prayer and community spaces.
The school environment is designed to create a warm, safe, and nurturing learning environment, where each student is valued as a unique individual who develops academically, spiritually, and socially.
SDH Jogja teachers are carefully selected and receive ongoing national-level training. They are expected to be not only professional educators but also role models and character mentors for their students.
Through the dedication of its teaching staff, SDH Jogja wants to cultivate a generation with strong faith, strong character, and a spirit of service.
Dian Harapan School is part of the educational network under the Pelita Harapan Education Foundation (YPPH), which oversees more than 69 national and international schools in various cities, as well as Pelita Harapan University (UPH) with more than 52,000 students throughout Indonesia.
Through this educational network, SDH Jogja opens opportunities for students to continue their higher education at national and international institutions, with a strong foundation of faith and character.
