Education. Two students from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Morowali brought national recognition to their school after recent successes in academic and sports competitions. Nurzhaqinah secured third place in the Indonesian Madrasah Olympiad (OMI) 2025, while Khumaidi represented MAN Morowali at the National Taekwondo Championship.
An official ceremony was held at MAN Morowali on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, where the students received certificates, trophies, and medals in front of teachers, staff, and fellow students. The event highlighted the school’s commitment to fostering both intellectual excellence and strong extracurricular programs.
Principal Sunaryo praised the students for their hard work and the school’s guidance that supported their achievements. “This success reflects our dedication to student development and the strong collaboration between teachers and learners,” he said, urging other students to pursue opportunities in national competitions.
Marwiah, Head of the Morowali Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, also commended the achievements and called on local madrasahs to strengthen coaching and collaboration so more students can reach national stages. She noted that these achievements not only honor the school but also raise Morowali’s profile nationwide.
School officials expressed hope that Nurzhaqinah and Khumaidi’s accomplishments will inspire other students to engage more actively in academic contests and sports. MAN Morowali plans to continue developing training programs and mentoring to prepare students for future regional and national events.
